Azra is an independent filmmaker passionate about telling stories of worker struggles, social justice movement and economic and environmental issues in a post-socialist world. She’s a graduate of the International School for Film and Television, San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba (talk about a cool film school!).
She also has a journalism degree from the University of Tuzla, and she had a great time working for the local radio and television station, RTV-7.
Since 2020, she’s been running a film and multimedia school in her hometown of Tuzla, sharing her love and skills of filmmaking with young adults.
When she’s not behind the camera (or teaching others to be), you can find her lost in a good book, discovering new music, exploring new places, or, naturally, watching movies. She’s currently part of the Sales and Acquisitions team at Taskovski Films.
Her favorite films from Taskovski Films catalogue are Documentarian, To Close Your Eyes and See Fire and Light Memories.
