Anja holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Comparative Literature and is currently pursuing her master’s studies in the same fields. Throughout her academic and personal journey, she has developed a deep appreciation for film, particularly documentaries, which she sees as a powerful fusion of storytelling, truth, and the complexities of the human experience. For Anja, the documentary form represents a unique intersection of art, knowledge, and humanity. It is an ever-evolving mirror of the world we live in.
At Taskovski Films, Anja is part of the festival department, where she contributes to the company’s mission of promoting thought-provoking documentary cinema. Passionate about cultural exchange and the impact of true stories, she finds inspiration in films that challenge perceptions and amplify underrepresented voices. Among her favourite Taskovski titles are Abode of Dawn and Loss Adjustment.
In her free time, Anja enjoys travelling, reading, and indulging in all things French, from culture and literature to cinema and cuisine.
