Taskovski Films’ newest acquisition “Ultimina” by Jacopo Quadri that celebrates the power of women has been recognized by one of the leading magazines for doc industry – Variety – in the today’s edition of this renowned journal.
Variety: ”London-based Taskovski Films has acquired worldwide rights outside Italy to Jacopo Quadri’s “Ultimina,” which world premieres on Nov. 21 at Amsterdam’s IDFA documentary festival.
The documentary follows a 86-year-old woman living alone on a Tuscany farm, who looks back on a tough life in which men have always been the boss.
“Ultimina” marks the most recent pick-up by sales and production house Taskovski Films, a company recognized for representing award-winning non-fiction features and for the distribution of quality documentaries.”
Besides “Ultimina”, Taskovski will have 7 other documentaries in different sections of International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.
Two of them are newly acquired ”Before the Dying of the Light” by Ali Essafi and “Divinations” by Leandro Picarella.
“Radiograph of a Family” and “War and Peace” are competing in the Feature-Length Documentary section, while three other titles are Marie Dumora’s “Far From You I Grew,” which world premiered at L’Acid Cannes 2020, and will now play in the Luminous Selection, and two Best of Fests’ titles – “Things We Dare Not Do,” by Mexico’s Bruno Santamaría, and Andrei Gryazev’s Russian production “The Foundation Pit.”
