Mexican, award-winning LGBTI documentary Things We Dare Not Do, directed by Bruno Santamaría will have its UK premiere on 12th of September at Open City Documentary Festival in London. The film will be available on the festival streaming platform until September 15th, geoblocked to the territory of the United Kingdom.

The film follows the story of Ñoño, a 16-year-old teenager that stands out from the group because he spends his time, the children of the community. With them, he does choreography, organizes activities, and seems to be one of them. However, what the young man most yearns for throughout the day is being able to go to his secret place, where, for a few minutes, away from the eyes of the people, he manages to see himself according to his most intimate wishes. As the date of an important town festival approaches, Noño will try to gather the courage to communicate his greatest wish to his family: dressing as a woman. But the risk is big since that is the type of things we dare not do and also implies that childhood will be left behind forever.
