Taskovski Films, an award-winning leader in the distribution of impactful documentary films, is expanding its team. With a strong global presence and a focus on films addressing pressing social issues, we offer remote work opportunities with the potential for travel. Applicants must be fluent in English (written and spoken) and have access to their own laptop or desktop computer.

Our Core Activities:
Film sales and distribution

Marketing, consultancy, and publicity services (PR)

International relations, cultural cooperation with different media companies

#DocsConnect professional training and mentorship program for conscious creative entrepreneurs & filmmakers

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Acquisitions (Securing New Films for Distribution):

  • Research films and projects.
  • Watch shortlisted films (minimum of three per week) and create detailed reports.
  • Negotiate and sign contracts with producers for film representation.
  • Develop sales and festival strategies for new films.
  •  

Festival & Sales Coordination:

  • Offer documentaries to worldwide festivals, TV channels, VOD platforms, theatrical distributors, etc.
  • Negotiate deals, issue invoices, and ensure the timely delivery of materials.
  • Promote films through marketing campaigns and mailouts, securing new buyers.
  • Travel to festivals and markets to meet clients, including producers, festival representatives, buyers, and press.
  •  

Marketing & Databases:

  • Update the company website (WordPress), film catalogs, and promotional materials (using tools like Mailchimp, Canva, and other graphic design software as needed).
  • Maintain and organize databases of buyers, press, festivals, and industry leads (utilizing sales tracking tools, Google Calendar, and other coordination tools).

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Experience in project management, festival coordination, marketing, and acquisitions (3+ years preferred).

Familiarity with tools such as Mailchimp, Canva, and WordPress.

Master’s degree preferred in Film Production, Distribution, Political Science, Journalism, Digital Communication, Arts Management, Economy, Marketing, or related fields.

Excellent IT skills, with a preference for knowledge of software development.

Strong leadership and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and customer service skills.

Ability to work both independently and within dynamic, structured teams.

Salary based on experience, knowledge, and monthly sales achievements.

40 hours per week, with occasional out-of-hours work on evenings and weekends.

A permanent contract with a six-month probationary period.

 

ELIGIBILITY

 

This role is open to candidates based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Balkans, South Europe, or Eastern Europe.
